BS! IMO.... a rule is a rule! It's like making a field goal in overtime worth 2 points if it is from inside the 30 yard line 3 points outside the 40 or 5 points outside the 50 if it's 60 or longer you win the game!

I agree 33 revert to the game the way it was played since 1876...

They only use the ghost runner in the regular season because it's 162 games in 6 months. So to save time and get a quicker result without having them potentially play 15, 17, 20 or 25 innings. I like that rule for in season.

For the playoffs it would be weak to use the regular season way that is designed to speed up games.
